Kim Kardashian and Nicole Kidman grabbed the spotlight posts (as they’re both prone to do, for different reasons), but you have to assume when luxury group company Kering throws a party with a bunch of celebrity invitees, looks will be served by all of them. Let’s go, ladies.
Florence Welch in Gucci
This is Flo’s version of BarbieCore. It’s a little nightgowny. We don’t think that shade of pink is the best color for her and we’d like the design more without the black lace.
Isabelle Huppert in Balenciaga
We hate fringe, but this is too fabulous to get mad at. Love the obnoxiously large bag.
Julia Garner in Gucci
It’s just weird enough to be eye-catching, but elegant enough to make for a great red carpet gown. She’s perfect for it. We don’t like the shine of that textile, though.
Olivia Wilde in Saint Laurent
Perhaps a weensy bit stale as lady tuxes go, especially since she’s worn the public bra on the red carpet more than a few times. On the other hand, can’t say it’s not working.
Salma Hayek in Gucci
We’re not entire sure about this one. The fit is impeccable, but we don’t love the design of the bust and we’re not convinced that oxblood is such a great color for her. It feels like the dress should have more impact than it does. Having said that, she’s worn some real clunkers in her day. This is at least well styled and well-fitted. We’d never suggest she looks bad in it.
Zoë Kravitz in Saint Laurent
She looks stunning. This gown is on its perfect wearer.
