They Cloned Tyrone stars John Boyega and Teyonah Parris are doing the work. You simply can’t look at them on the red carpet at the LA premiere without recognizing the heavy lifting going on.
And by “heavy lifting,” we mean serving looks that require some effort, styling, and poise to pull off. Two stars who know this part of their job calls for showing up and showing out. This is old school Hollywood stuff and it’s kind of great to see it for a Netflix release.

HAVING SAID THAT… while this looks like a very fine suit with no small amount of swag to it, we can’t say we support or even like the party streamers hanging off it. We love that it’s a design with a little flamboyance to it, but we just can’t get behind a design element that looks like a magician’s trick gone wrong.

But this? This, we love. We are always going to champion the lesser-used metallics like bronze and pewter on the red carpet and they tend to look especially good on Black women. The dress is pretty great on its own, but it’s the incredible jewelry and hairstyle that really launch this look into the stratosphere. We kinda think the laceup sandals are a bit much with everything else going on in the styling, but she doesn’t strike us as the kind of lady who minds hearing that she’s a bit much in her style choices. She looks great and we can’t wait to see what she serves up when The Marvels opens this fall. If this is how she’s turning it out for Netflix, just imagine what she’ll be like when the Disney promo dollars come rolling through.
