Gentlemen, show us what you got.
Daniel Dae Kim in Giorgio Armani
He looks gorgeous and the look is casually cute. The colorful suit paired with white kicks hasn’t fully died out yet and looks like this one make us hope it sticks around a little longer. It just works for certain suits, certain guys, and certain settings.
Hasan Minhaj
It’s a lot for an event like this, but he was the host for the evening, which makes it more or less perfect. Love that persimmon shade on him.
Jeremy Pope
This is sexy and mysterious, like he’s an assassin who infiltrated a Paris fashion show or something. We’d have liked to have seen lapels on that jacket, though. We pretend not to see the leather turtleneck. We pretend that we didn’t just type out that phrase.
Joel Kim Booster in Marni
We’re so glad he got rid of the bangs. Bone structure like that calls for a hairstyle that frames it well. He looks great, even though we hate the idea of wearing a big shoelace as a belt.
Ke Huy Quan
We like this suit, but we’d have loved it a lot more if the jacket had been a single-breasted cut. He still looks great, but we’d rate this our least favorite of his awards season looks.
Paul Mescal in Gucci
He does Sleazy Chic a lot better than Austin Butler. Having said that, we really hope he doesn’t show up at the Oscars like this. The ISAs are the perfect place for it.
Troy Kotsur in Dzojchen
This made us smile because we think he’d have rather dressed like this all through his awards campaigning last year. We can’t believe we don’t have a problem with the double lapel situation or the circus peanut color, but it really works for him. Love the bracelet and the brooch. Kind of insane that last year’s Best Supporting Actor winner hasn’t had a project out since and only has one film in pre-production according to IMDB. Come on, Hollywood.
