The stars came out to party, network, honor each other, and serve up some fashion (not necessarily in that order) at the Unforgettable Gala for the Asian-American Awards. Shall we? Judge them, we mean.

A fun, cute dress THAT ABSOLUTELY NEEDED A LINING. Come on now. We also tend to think the naked sandals look odd with it.

We still don’t like black dress pants with blazers or jackets, but it’s really hard to argue that any of this isn’t working. The frames really make the look.

We hope this is a borrowed frock, because we can’t imagine anyone wanting to pay good money for a couple strips of fabric. This barely looks like any of it was even sewn.

Love the velvet, but not even he can make that Colonel Sanders tie work.

His style has been low-key flawless all year. We’d have loved to have seen a slicker hairstyle with this look, however.

It’s weird and eye-catching. We just wish the backing color provided a little more contrast for her.

The skirt is stunning, but that top seems designed to flatter absolutely no one.

This is… kind of weird. The pants are too wide for such narrow shoes and the shoes look like he’s been wearing them every day for months. The dress shirt is both sloppy and too flimsy to wear the way he’s wearing it (open, without an undershirt). It’s all oddly half-assed.

A party dress – in every sense of the phrase. She looks cute and fun.

Can’t really argue with any of that.
