Rooney Mara and Claire Foy stepped out onto the red carpet for the LA premiere of Women Talking in looks that we would consider fairly unexpected from both of them.
We wish we could also say we consider them successful style efforts, but alas…

So… is it some sort of commentary about fashion restricting the movements of women are is it, y’know, just some more fashion that restricts the movement of a woman? Or is she some sort of sommelier in a cult? We guess we could see how this feels like a statement look, but we don’t think it’s making a very worthy statement. We also don’t think it looks good. A sheer turtleneck is never going to be a good thing, no matter what you surround it with.
Claire Foy in Erdem
The shape of this dress is okay, but it’s a terrible way to utilize that print. The runway version of it (below) works much better. The hem hits at an awkward spot regardless of what shoes she chose, but this pair has to be one of the worst choices you could make. It’s just all kind of awkward and badly styled. And it looks like a pain in the ass to wear.
