Danielle Deadwyler’s performance in the upcoming Till is garnering some serious buzz coming out of the New York Film Festival and for the occasion, she wisely opted for a fairly classic Prestige Actress gown.
Generally speaking, this style and color don’t appeal to us all that often, but it definitely suits her and she lends it a quiet elegance. We love the skirt, but we’re not all that crazy about the design of the bodice. The New York Film Festival isn’t all that high glam a setting (although it does tend toward high fashion looks, this being New York and all), so the low-key styling on this one makes sense for the setting. We think she played this one just right and we look forward to seeing her navigate the upcoming season. Welcome to our loving circle of judgment, Danielle.
We’re not surprised she’s wowing people in what looks to be a heart-wrenching and powerful film. She gave a devastating and unforgettable performance in last year’s Station Eleven and the charisma was just emanating from her in waves.
