Season four of Stranger Things was bloated beyond belief and it still struggles with what it’s all actually supposed to be about, but one of the highlights of the season was Sadie Sink’s performance as Max; a performance so powerful that it shot Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill to the top of the charts nearly four decades after its release. Sadie’s having a great summer and she stopped by the Today Show for a little victory lap moment.
It’s cute without being overly twee and stylish without being precocious. Not that the latter point is much of an issue for her. She may look a lot younger, but she’s 20 years old, which we point out only because we think a 16-year-old would be less likely to pick such a girlishly cute dress for this moment. In other words, weirdly enough, the almost juvenile (but nonetheless highly trendy) aspect of the dress is an indicator of her adulthood. We don’t love the shoes with this dress but we think they’d be great with pants.
