Ana de Armas is here to deliver the scrolldown surprise of the day – if not the week or month.
We’ll give it this: it’s the kind of outfit that takes a minute to register because it gets more and more unexpected the longer you take it in. And it the kind of outfit that demands you take it in. Granted, she can make almost anything she wears demand your attention, but even we made little surprised “Oh!” exclamations when we realized her skirt was… well, not quite a skirt. It’s an interesting and eye-catching design and she looks great in it (she can work a bronze like a champ), but we wonder if it doesn’t feel more like a costume than an article of fashion. It’s so focus-pulling that it took us way longer than normal to even notice the hair and makeup. The latter is fine, but the former doesn’t seem like it really goes with such a strong garment. It feels too casual somehow.
