It’s not at all the kind of style we respond to, but even cynical bitches such as we have to admit when someone’s well-suited to this sort of retro-twee romanticism. We think this one appeals because it’s not overdone. There’s just enough of that gauzey, ruffly, eyelet-lacey feel without going overboard on the elements. Like the dress itself, our take is not complicated. It’s cute and she looks good in it.
