We gave a few of the stars at the Billboard Music Awards the spotlight post treatment, but let’s round up some of the more interesting, discussable or borderline disastrous looks of the nights. Just for fun!

Anitta in Fendace (Fendi by Versace)

Kudos to the Fendace PR team for pushing this hybrid brand so hard. The dress is fine, but the branding is obnoxious.

Chloe Bailey in Valdrin Sahiti

That cutout looks like an enormous pain in the ass to wear, but she’s committed to it and as much as we dislike cutouts generally, we have to admit the look is pretty fierce.

DJ Khaled

This works! The color looks great on him and the jacket is fairly well fitted.

Dove Cameron in Ashlyn

A truly terrible design.

Florence Welch in Gucci

We respect your commitment to your own witchy aesthetic, but a black lace bodysuit under a sheer lavender ruffled gown is where we get off this bus, sister.

Glass Animals

We’ll always have a soft spot for stylishly snooty pop star types. Except for Bucket Hat, they look great.

Heidi Klum in Toni Matičevski

This feels thrown together, maybe because we’ve seen her wear those boots on the street a thousand times. The color combo is kind of harsh and her makeup is scary.

Kylie Jenner (in Balmain) and Travis Scott (in Givenchy)

He looks pretty great. She looks… whatever.

Mary J. Blige in Julien Macdonald

Diva we love you, but this is all kind of a mess. The cutout or the front slit, but not both, dear; not at the same time. And a pair of shoes that fit would be nice.

Megan Thee Stallion in Mugler

It just looks like a couple of gimmicks holding some fabric together in the vague shape of a dress. It doesn’t look fabulous and she doesn’t look remotely comfortable in it.

Teyana Taylor in Skims (Top) and Givenchy (Pants)

We respect her commitment to always showing up looking like a videogame character. She’s extremely consistent with her style and it never fails to be eye-popping, if not exactly chic in the conventional sense.

Ty Dolla $ign in Natalia Fedner

We love the juxtaposition of the chain top, tuxedo jacket and leather pants. It really works.
