Once again, we’ve gotta hand it to Jack Harlow. We wouldn’t go so far as to say he’s redefining pop or rap star style (plenty of stylish dudes and dandies did that before he came along), but he’s been very good about exploiting his own natural talent for wearing high-end menswear as his career has accelerated. The approach to his style has been smart, chic, but not necessarily beholden to popular trends. We haven’t really seen him do the more flamboyant peacocking that became all the rage among male celebrities in the past few years. Instead, the looks have been like this one:
Sober, serious, and largely conventional with a twist. We aren’t fans of so much here – bicolor lapels, black shirt with a black tie, belted blazer – but it really works for him. There’s just enough visual interest to keep him from coming off traditional, but everything is restrained and impeccable in the way you expect high fashion looks to be. Our only quibble is with the footwear. We’d have liked a dress shoe with a larger silhouette and more of a shine to it.
