We’re clearing out our post-awards season folders and we figured we’d give Miss Tracee a little spotlight time, since the last time we checked in on her, she was wearing quite possibly the worst dress of the year. She got this one right and she deserves to have the record reflect that.

Cute, right? We’re not entirely convinced that black boots were the right way to go, since the dress has such a bright, springtime sort of vibe to it. We like the idea suggested by the runway and look book photos, if not the shoe depicted. Something white on the bottom – possibly even boots, if she’s so wedded to the idea – would make this pop and feel a bit trendier. Even so, she looks fabulous and we love the yellow eye makeup, which is not a thing you’ll see us write very often. Consider your previous fashion crime expunged from the record, Ms. Ellis Ross.
