No, really. Everyone tends to fall all over the more outrageous looks every year – and to be fair, they’re half the point of having a Met Gala at all. But at this stage in our coverage, we’re always overwhelmingly grateful to anyone who understood what the night was about. If there’s one designer who understands the lexicon of American fashion more than any of the others, it’s Michael Kors. And while there were cowgirls and football girls and flag girls  and even star-spangled girls galore, Regina was the only one out here paying tribute to that most iconic and widespread of American-inspired styles: the modern business suit. That sequin-lined cape is stunning and we LOVE the blue hair. Never has capitalism been rendered so fabulously.
