Jennifer Lopez came to the VMAs evidently to answer the question once and for all: Can Jennifer Lopez make anything look good just by wearing it?”
And the answer came forth, loud and clear: No. She absolutely cannot make everything look good just by wearing it.
Man, we can’t even put this under our usual “The VMAs are supposed to be tacky and attention-seeking” umbrella. It’s just plain hideous in concept, design, proportions and execution. There isn’t one nice thing we can say about this look – except to maybe note that when you take it alongside her Venice Film Festival ensembles of last week, it shows how much of a range she’s got when it comes to fashion. Not many celeb-ladies bounce back and forth so easily from cutesy white lace daydresses to … well. Whatever this is.
