We counted down to this appearance because we knew it wouldn’t disappoint and one thing you can say about T Lo, we know our J Lo. As a formal announcement and a personal branding statement, this is a truly spectacular look. Whatever else you can say about the timing of this relationship, it truly is astonishing how well she’s controlled her narrative after her breakup with A Rod. What could have been a “poor pathetic spinster” period of press has instead seen her come out on top as one half of the most talked-about celebrity couple of the year. Brava, Jen. You both look like the epitome of A-list superstardom.

It’s kind of hard to deny the sense that she’s deliberately working a vaguely nuptial theme here, but we’re provided to maybe-sorta admit that we could possibly, from some perspectives, be reading too much into it just a skosh. Possibly. All kidding aside, if she were really going for a bridal allusion, she picked the least bridal white gown she could find for it. And like we said earlier today, white is pretty much her go-to choice.

Anyway, she looks spectacular, which isn’t exactly news, and he looks the best he has in years.
