It’s comforting to know that when the legendary Sharon Stone wants to, she can still disrupt a red carpet and throw it into chaos. The lady is an absolute master at yanking all eyes to her when she deems it time to do so.
This is a “I WILL NOT BE IGNORED” dress. This is a “TURN ALL YOUR CAMERAS TOWARD ME” dress. Is it pretty? Not on your life. In fact, we’d say it’s borderline hideous. The colors are garish and the embellishments look like party favors two days after the party ended. And we’d argue that the Cinderella style really doesn’t suit her all that well. But we think that’s all kind of the point here. She wouldn’t get as much attention if she wore something pretty and tasteful and appropriate for her. This is Cannes; one of the loudest and most attention-seeking red carpet events of any year. She’s a pro and she knows exactly how to maneuver this space. Brava, lady.
