Lorenzo was pretty much adamant that we were going to give this look the spotlight and that you guys would all love it. Tom responded with this “This? Really?” No tea no shade against Isabelle Huppert or Louis Vuitton, the latter of which turned out a surprisingly elegant and non-cray look.
Lorenzo thinks it’s a stunning gown that gives her the kind of coverage she clearly prefers in her fashion while still being sparkly and glamorous enough to own a Cannes red carpet. He think it combines French chic with Hollywood glam, which is exactly the Cannes sweet spot. Tom doesn’t necessarily disagree with any of that, but he thinks it looks a bit heavy for the seaside setting and he doesn’t think the crystal embellished textile is used enough, nor does he think it pairs all that well with a black fabric. From the waist up, she looks fabulous, though. We’re in agreement on that. You, however, will have to make the final call for us.
