Let’s check in on Leslie Grace, shall we? As we noted the last few times we featured her, the star of the upcoming In the Heights has been stepping out in style like her life depended on it, which is exactly what we like to see when an up-and-comer’s got the spotlight on her. We are happy to report Miss Lady has not slowed down a bit and has been extremely busy since last we checked.

The dress is tricky as hell, but the styling does a great job of keeping everything toned down so she doesn’t look overwhelmed by design elements. Like so many Monse frocks, we feel like this one could’ve used some editing, but the color looks fantastic on her.

Oh man, you had us until we got to the bottom of the pants. The whole outfit looks spectacular on her and then you get to this one element that totally overwhelms the look. Love the shoes, though. They do a pretty good job of distracting you from that weird label.

Spectacular. We’re unreasonably happy to see she got a chance to strut some sparkle on a real red carpet. We’d have hated to see the venue denied to a star using fashion this well. The way the top half mimics a polo shirt gives it a slightly casual summer vibe that marries surprisingly well to the sparkly skirt.
