Dolce & Gabbana (ugh) should get down on their knees in praise and gratitude to Miss Angela, because she is having what they call in the fashion commenting biz an effect on these garments.

Seriously, what magic or alchemy is this? That suit would normally call for a straw boater and either an old timey ice cream parlour menu or a barbershop quartet to go along with it. On any other human being, this would come off so dorky and goofy, but somehow, Angela Bassett’s spell-casting abilities have turned it into something chic and sharp. We even love the shoes, when we’re usually not fans of that style and tend to question the use of white pumps. The whole look just works when everything we know is telling us it shouldn’t. She looks amazing.

We’re gonna question the yellow mani, though.
