What a treat, darlings! Not only do we find ourselves with enough notably stylish celebrity male looks to do a guy-themed rundown, thanks to this year’s Golden Globes, but some of these ensembles are some of the most eye-popping and envelope-pushing looks we’ve seen in ages. It’s like the gentlemen all had to get their fashion freak flag on after spending so much time in sweatpants and t-shirts. Seems like we’re all hungry for a little style, a little flair, and a little self-expression. A salute to these dudes for doing it right.
Daveed Diggs in Atelier Versace
LOVE the jacket. IN LOVE WITH the loafers. We could pull off neither.
John Boyega in Louis Vuitton
He looks like royalty. Kudos to LV for doing right by him. This is stunning.
Josh O’Connor in Loewe
We will never not love his whole “dying Victorian poet” vibe. It’s so perfectly him.
Leslie Odom Jr. in Celine
Can we just? Bow down to that lacey ruffled collar? LOVE him for being so comfortable with that kind of softness and self-expression. We can’t say we’re ever fully on board with his preferences. He seems to love shapes and cuts that we don’t love at all. But we’re so damn impressed with the artistry of his style and the way he refuses conventionality.
Michael K. Williams in Berluti
Love all of this, right down to the coordinating kicks.
And finally, the conventional guys:
Paul Mescal in Prada
Steven Yeun in Prada
While we wish either or both of these guys had gone for something with just a bit more flair and pizazz to it, we can’t say these highly conventional styles look bad on them. Steven looks amazing in something this perfect and classic. Paul could definitely use a bit of color or texture.
