Miss Annie, as we’ve been directed to call her, can never be classified as one of those stars who isn’t into fashion. Not that we needed proof that she was a Fashion Girl before all this. She’s always been one to watch whenever she stepped out onto a red carpet. But when there are no more red carpets, photo calls, or on-set talk show appearances in the world and she STILL manages no less than six drop-dead looks the week her new film opens (half of them Met Gala-level), there’s no point in denying it. She’s the Number One Fashion Girl. We don’t think Blanchett or Swinton of even Nyong’o would go to these lengths to promote a film during lockdown. We salute you, Annie. But we’re still going to give our thoughts.

Christian Dior
Absolutely perfect. It’s simple and classic, but with enough boldness to stand out on a Zoom interview or an Insta-post. It’s one of those celebrity-specific looks masquerading as a day ensemble by toning down the jewelry and hair, but would look night-on-the-town on most non-movie star wearers. The shoes are fantastic touch.
Schiaparelli
Fun and gorgeous. Another one of those looks of late that might have been overwhelming on a talk show set or distracting on a red carpet. But if you’re just going to stand and pose in a neutral setting, it looks great. To be fair, we’re pretty sure she’d have no problem working this in a real-world setting.

This is the only look in this post we have to admit we don’t like very much. A sheer dress with such heavy boots doesn’t really work, we think. And the yellow is kind of harsh, although that could be due to the less-than-optimal lighting conditions. Just not feeling this one, Annie. Sorry.
But talk show and photo call looks weren’t the only thing in her weekly rotation. She also unleashed three gorgeous high-glam red carpet looks on her Instagram.

We’ll keep this brief. STUN. NING.
Seriously, what kind of nitpicky-ass things are we supposed to say here? She looks gorgeous in each gown and we love the gold/bronze/silver story she’s telling here. Just an utterly flawless trio of looks that make us ache for the return of high red carpetry again. We thank Miss Annie for these fashion blessings. Now everyone go watch her movie on HBO Max. Girlfriend worked her ass off to remind you about it.
