We haven’t covered Queen Maxima for nearly the length of time we’ve been covering Princess Catherine, so we don’t always feel tuned-in enough to make broad observations about her style and what she tries to accomplish with it, but we feel safe in declaring what seems to us to be a pretty obvious point. Your girl loves matchy outfits with one completely loopy detail that tends to overwhelm them. To wit:
She likes bold drama in her style and she loved to make unexpected choices. That’s fun, but it can sometimes lead her down some questionable style paths. That chest-binder of a top is awful not just because it so clearly restricts her movement, but as a design element, it’s wildly out of proportion.
