When we first saw these shots of Miss Z modeling for Bulgari, we suddenly realized how much we’d been missing her. Since she hit the big time post-Disney career, we doubt there’s been a span as long as this one without a Zendaya red carpet or talk show sighting. She’s been a constant in our coverage for a long time because she learned how to wield fashion as a career tool very early on and she’s only gotten better at it over time. We don’t normally comment on ad campaigns, but this one is so gorgeous – and it’s been so long – that we simply had to gush a little.

Her go-to stylist (and Legendary judge) Law Roach put this look together and he wisely went with the idea that a Bulgari ad was going to require a big, bold, dramatic look. You can’t sport all those diamonds with a sensibly chic suit. You need a giant honking yellow gown to overwhelm the frame and prevent her from becoming overwhelmed by the rocks she’s got. Love the winged eye, LOVELOVELOVE the almost counterintuitive choice of a deep red d’Orsay pump for the shoe. So many stylists would’ve put her in a naked sandal, but this pair really balances out the look and draws the eye.

GOD, we miss celebrity high style.
