Miss Joey continues to serve us WERQ-from-home promotional tour fashion and we continue to be grateful to her for it. So grateful, that we’re not even going to make an issue of the inexplicable backdrop. Not too much of an issue, anyway.
Whew. Okay, in the spirit of appreciation for the effort… we think this is a strong, modern look. We have issues with the color and the way the shrug looks like it’s a size larger than the dress. Regarding the former, we just don’t think this vaguely sort of terra cotta color pops in pictures, nor does it set off the oddness of the design. Given her previous jacket-on/jacket-off photoset, she and her team seem to be all about giving her these on-camera options to change from shot to shot. It’s not a bad approach for a homegrown photo call. Giving her something to do prevents it from looking too stiff or amateurish. Having said all that, we wish the shoes weren’t plastic and we think the shrug ruins an otherwise cute little dress. Still, points to her and her team for giving us some real fashion and not just slapping on any ol’ dress and calling it good.
