Kittens, we don’t know about you, but THESE two bitches feel like they could use a little RETRO-GLAMOUR ELEGANZA right about now. That’s “glamour” pronounced “gla-MORE,” by the way.
No one was doing a better job of serving exactly that combination or old school style and high glamour in The Beforetimes than one Miss Elle Fanning. Until the day comes when we can expect to see her out on red carpets continuing the work of shedding her Disney Princess image in favor of haute style, we will have to make do with arguing over these two prime examples, which were some of the best things she’s ever worn:
Elle Fanning in Gucci at the “The Dead Don’t Die” Premiere
This is 1940s Femme Fatale realness and we’re HERE for that. She needs a pearl-handled piston and a two-timing husband at which to point it. What’s surprising here is how well she’s handling that pale peach. It could have easily washed her out except for the brilliant floral detail at the waist and the bold lip. The earrings are pure stunners.
Elle Fanning in Dior Couture at the “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” Premiere
And this is Post-War Parisian Model realness, for which we are also HERE. A look like this is all about the drama of the silhouette and this one is exquisitely put together, from hat, to sleeve, to waist, to hem. She’s a walking fashion doll.
SO, darlings. You have quite the question put before you. Which gla-MORE are you feeling MORE? The Femme Fatale or the Fashion Doll?
