Kittens, for this week’s coffee-fueled ramble, we FINALLY tuned into Netflix’s Project Runway ripoff Next in Fashion and we’re going to give you all our many thoughts on the series, including how it stacks up against the original and what it reveals about Project Runway’s focus (and how it might not have served it well in the long run).
But before we get to that, we felt like we had to weigh in on the goings-on this week regarding Jameela Jamil and the recently announced reality competition based on the ballroom scene, Legendary. We don’t count ourselves as people who should be speaking on behalf of that community, many of whom spoke out vehemently against Jamil’s involvement, but we do feel we have to weigh in as folks who know a lot about reality television, a good deal about ball culture, and even a little bit about Jameela herself.
And finally, it’s off to the judgment races with this week’s Project Runway:

A pretty decent episode with some pretty decent fashion and a weensy bit of drama, just the way we like things.
Once again, thank you for listening in, darlings!
