It’s Hollywood’s prom night, people! And all the would-be kings and would-be queens of the ball—from the surefire bets, to the just-honored-to-be-nominated; the presenters to the passed-by—know good and well that hitting that Oscars red carpet in something jaw-dropping, discussion-promoting, statement-making and all-around attention-seeking is half the reason for the night. Oh, you know it’s true.
