Newly crowned Queen of the Gays* Laura Dern got the kind of night we all wanted for her in a dress we all wish she hadn’t chosen. Sorry, but it’s true.
The dress – or at least most of it – is pretty and simple, in a pale pink that was not only flattering to her, but pretty much the hottest color of the night. If it had no other embellishments, it would’ve been a nice but boring choice. Unfortunately, for reasons we can’t fathom, Armani chose to top it all with a beaded black bra. With tassels.
Why, Miss Laura? WHY?
The dress definitely needed something, but a belly dancer’s bra strikes us as a choice that should have been at the very top of the list labeled “ABSOLUTELY NOT.” The helmet hair wasn’t much to our liking either. We would have preferred the looser, wavier style she normally sports.
One thing’s for sure; Laura Dern does not live with a cat.
*No, really. The gays came for their queen this weekend:
A choir of gay men singing Laura Dern’s name over and over again is exactly how I pictured my eventual entrance to heaven. https://t.co/AC0TvKdg0e
