Yes, yes. Your divas are all here. We’ll get to all that in a second. Can we talk about THIS?
WOW. That looks freaking AMAZING. What an amazing cast. Cate Blanchett as Phyllis Schlafly, Uzo Aduba as Shirley Chisholm, Rose Byrne as Gloria Steinem, Margo Martindale as Bella Abzug and Tracey Ullman as Betty Friedan? HOOK IT INTO OUR VEINS.
And now, fashion:
Cate Blanchett in Haider Ackermann
Miss Cate, we would love to give your polka-dotted pantsuit look the assessment it deserves, but we’re way too weirded out by the creeping fabric fungus growing on your left arm. Love the boots but they’re fighting with the orange satin waistband (which, let’s face it, is a thing that should not exist). It’s honestly a credit to her that this doesn’t look a lot goofier.
Uzo Aduba
Can’t argue with any of that. If the color weren’t so vibrant or the wearer wasn’t Uzo, we suspect this would come off rather plain and workmanlike. On her, it sings.
Sarah Paulson
This is kind of goofy-cute. It makes a certain amount of sense she’d step out in a red carpet version of a ’50s housewife costume for this event, but there’s quite the disconnect between the skirt textile and the blouse textile.
