It’s the rain-dress! A plastic dress to wear over your real dress for those days when the weather is nastily inclement! Because who wants to wear coats or carry umbrellas? NOT THIS GAL.
Sorry, but this is just plain goofy. In fact, it may be the goofiest sheer dress we’ve ever seen. And believe us, we’ve seen a lot of goofy sheer dresses in this job. We suppose part of the problem comes down to the underdress being so boldly colored that it fights with the … overdress. But it sure doesn’t help that the overdress is so shiny, which tends to make it look a little plastic in pictures. If a designer wants to make a ruffly little floral prairie dress, they should go ahead and do that. Trying to make it more complicated just leaves you with something weird and awkward.
