America’s newest sweethearts – not really, but we did catch a preview of their film, was largely charmed by it and will have a review up soon – continue their kick-ass style tour. He’s smartly sticking with what works and she’s unsurprisingly mixing things up a bit.
He’s keeping things tight; the grooming is on point, the fit and style are impeccable and the color story is brightly photogenic and flattering. Well done once again – except when you get to the bottom. A lightweight colorful summer suit can handle a more sporty, less formal shoe, but these Doc Marten-looking things aren’t playing well with the hem.
She took what could have been a too-basic black suit and jazzed it up with some Sean Young-in-Bladerunner hair. Sort of. It turns out, among her many other talents, Charlize is a gal who can work a killer set of bangs. Some eye-catching ear jewelry and a knockout lip was all she needed to complete the perfect facial styling.
On a totally nitpicky note, and speaking as two people who will never sport them, we like the trend for multi-colored manicures, but this tone-on-tone version doesn’t appeal as much as the more colorful ones.
