Miss Millie has her big movie premiere red carpet moment and we’re a little torn on the results.
On the one hand, it’s got that mature sense of sophistication that always makes it feel like she’s dressing precociously. On the other hand, it’s hard to argue that the hair and makeup aren’t in service to her youth or that they don’t comprise a fairly decent if obvious attempt to make a chic and elegant gown look more fun and fresh. But there’s a bit of a mismatch; not only between the dress and her makeup, but those pumps seem like an odd choice and the rather demure jewelry doesn’t pair all that well either. A lot of this could’ve been solved by just not picking such a grownup-looking dress. Give her the fun shoes, frock and earrings that head styling calls for, we say.
It’s definitely not a bad look; just a distinctly unbalanced one. But since we’ve always had a bit of a thing with how her team styles her, we’ll turn the final word on this one over to y’all:
