Miss Elle put on an old-fashioned dress and did something pretty darn old-fashioned while wearing it.
But first, design critiques. We are not inclined to love any dress in this sort of drab, skin-matching hue. But the style of it really suits her and the wilting flowers of the skirt are, if nothing else, an interesting twist on the idea of a romantic floral motif. The jewels don’t match it at all, but that’s what happens when you’re contractually obligated fashion comes up against your mandatory-with-invitation jewelry.
But the throwback style and wilted flowers were underlined with a little more meaning when Miss Elle fainted at the party because her dress was too tight.
How very on point.
Miss Elle, beauty can be painful, but on behalf of all bitchy fashion bloggers, you’re free to not constrain yourself to the point of oxygen deprivation and still be considered stylish. We’re just saying, girl. Give yourself a break.
