Here is the place where we will discuss the ensembles worn by select members of the Game of Thrones cast.

Just kidding, darlings. We know you all want to talk about last night’s episode more than anything in the world. We’ll just get the ball rolling by doing what we do best (judging) and then step aside so you guys can do what you do best (change the topic).

It’s a slightly surprising choice for her, since it plays so gleefully in the princess sandbox. It’s a pretty dress, but it really doesn’t strike us as a good representation of her own style. If nothing else, the hair clashes with it – both the color and the style. And the bust is slightly too large on her, which tends to play into her youthful looks to actually make her look younger – like a little girl playing dressup. As much as we like this dress, it’s too fussy and ill-suited to her.

Unless things have changed drastically since he was bumping with his aunt at last season’s finale, Kit’s got a bangin’ bod underneath that hellaciously unflattering suit and shirt. We’re not loving the trend in suit cuts lately. If Jon Snow comes off looking a little dumpy, this style is nearly impossible for the rest of the world to pull off.

That’s a stunner. We might normally tell an actress her age not to move so quickly toward the stately, severe and dramatic looks, but they really do suit her. She looks amazing – and we’d likely think this dress was boring on a different wearer.

Hmm. Try harder, Bran.

Just a final hearty family laugh before all the killing and the incest kicks in. What did you all think of last night’s premiere? It was stocked to the rafters with satisfying reunions and the hint of future payoffs, ending on a killer staredown between two “old friends” that made the hairs on the back of our necks stand up. The first (of many, we’d wager) “holy shit” moment of the season.
