Maggie’s out doing Fashion Editor drag at Fashion Week.
Now we want a prestige series about Maggie Gyllenhaal as a fashion editor, making her way through the big city.
As for the look, it’s not quite her style, but it’s a pretty decent halfway point between her own retro and unfussy preferences and the more high impact looks one expects to see in the front row of an Oscar de la Renta show. Does it look like she cut out pictures of flowers and pasted them onto a perfectly nice coat? Yes, it does. Does that seem a little crazy to us? Yes, of course. Is it a good way for a gal to stand out in a crowd that makes it hard to do so? Yes again. It’s a little goofy, but it works for us and has a high-fashion feel. The only part that feels off is the exposed bra, simply because it seems so unlike her.
