We have to wonder if her days as a Chanel muse aren’t over. There was a decent length of time there where every collection sported several pieces that seemed tailor-made for her but it’s been a while since we’ve really seen her nail a Chanel look. Looking at the runway shot, these pieces sort of work. That’s certainly no mark against her for failing to do so, since the runway is such a rarefied atmosphere that practically any old nonsense can be made to work for 90 seconds with the right attitude, lighting and musical accompaniment. But those ombre pants don’t work if you cuff them and pair them with Doc Martens work shoes. Also: She’s always been able to handle an admirable amount of slap, but that’s a truly awful makeup job for her. She looks like the Joker.
