Friday Leftovers for the Week of January 13th, 2019

Posted on January 18, 2019

Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer

We’re already prepared to cry for their upcoming series finale. And we have so many lingering good feelings about them that we just can’t bring ourselves to acknowledge their outfits.

Anson Mount

We tweeted last night that we kept having to rewind scenes from the season premiere of Star Trek: Discovery because he was so distracting in his tight-panted uniform that we kept missing chunks of exposition. Personally, we’d tell him to lose the beard. He has such great hair that it tends to distract from it. The shirt and tie color combo are straight outta ’05, we’re sorry to say.

Don Cheadle

Sure. But only because you’re Don Cheadle.

Joel Edgerton in Louis Vuitton

Gorgeous coat, but everything else makes him look like he’s in a cult.

Michael B. Jordan

Love the jacket and boots, but we feel like he’s been doing a lot of resting on pretty lately.

Naomi Campbell in Louis Vuitton

On the one hand, it was long past time for her to change her hairstyle. On the other hand, this ain’t it, chiefette. Kinda love the ensemble.

Penélope Cruz in Chanel

Penélope Cruz in Galvan London

Honestly, it’s not a bad thing that you can sum up her looks in one word. It means the look is strong, declarative and pretty much flawless.

Rebecca Romijn in Zhivago

Miss Woman, you tried. We’ll give you that. But your co-star Sonequa outdid you on the crazy frock front.

Regina Hall in Claudia Li

The idea of a suit in this color sounds like a fun one, but the shape is kind of awful.

Rita Ora in Dion Lee

Oh, COME ON. There is no way you didn’t look at this and call it hideous. We’re all for attention-seeking power moves, but you have to pull them off without looking like ass.

Tatiana Maslany

This is so goofy it circles around to being cute.

Timothée Chalamet in Louis Vuitton

We’d call this normcore but it’s probably all worth like three thousand dollars.
