Miss Jodie, we love you and we love your season of Doctor Who (which we will be reviewing once it concludes next week). We also loved and supported your casting in the role of the Doctor, not just because it made history and not just because you’re perfect for it (which has turned out to be very much true), but because we loved the idea of the Doctor making tons of red carpet appearances and wearing really interesting, eye-popping fashion, because the intersection of womenswear and science-fiction aesthetics has been one of the more interesting fashion developments in the last decade or so. Unfortunately, you didn’t give us quite what we’d hoped for on that latter point:
Oh. Sorry. We probably should have warned you guys to brace yourselves before scrolling down. Did the sudden shock to your senses do any permanent damage?
The truly sad part is that she snagged a really fantastic bag and fabulously quirky pair of shoes. They deserved so much better than that awkward-looking frock.
