OMFG kittens, your ol’ pals T Lo got to see Mary Poppins Returns this week and while we can’t really give you our thoughts yet because reviews are embargoed, suffice it to say: OMFG, KITTENS. If they could unfreeze Walt Disney’s head in 2018 and get it to make a movie, this is the movie it would make. As perfect a representation of classic Disneyana as you’ll ever see. More to come when we’re allowed to talk about it. Until then, let’s judge the cast!
Seated shots like these are almost always terrible for judging the outfits, though. We’ll say this: we find Emily’s combo of items more appealing together than we would have though, although a brown skirt paired with white shoes is a little dicey. Lin-Manuel’s doing okay for himself, but Ben is his usual rumpled mess of a self. Which is fine, since he can pull it off and it’s so true to his personality. We like what Emily’s going for here, but the puffy shoulders and neck bow are a bit much for her.
