Yesterday, Miss Sigourney made us scream and cry and we, being the sharing types, passed the screaming and crying on to you. We were all pretty worn out by the experience, we’re sure. In the interests of healing wounds and doing Ripley a solid, we’d like to give her the spotlight once again.
Because she did a hell of a lot better this time around. Granted, we don’t think this is perfect and there’s quite a bit about it we could pick apart, but we won’t. Okay we will. No, we’ll be positive and focus on the …
Her shoes and bag clash and pull focus, okay? And the seaming is not so great. And the fabric doesn’t photograph well. FINE. Are you happy now?
That absolutely shameful bit of mob-enforced criticism aside, we still like this for her, because it’s way more in her realm than that weird-af upholstery thing she was wearing the other day. She’s built for dramatic, stately, goddess gowns with bold details. In fact, she’s so right for this kind of look that she manages to make this fairly problematic and distracting ensemble look pretty amazing, just because it suits her so well. More of this please, Miss S. Even when you get this style wrong, it looks right. Most people would kill to have that kind of fall-back option.
