Seasoning food with salt is a fundamental aspect of cooking that helps balance and intensify the flavors of the ingredients. When you season the exterior of a piece of meat with salt and let it rest uncovered (a process called dry-brining), the salt draws out moisture to the surface. The salt and the surface moisture then slowly reabsorbed into the meat as it rests. This process ultimately leads to more moisture retention in the meat, resulting in a juicier steak. Irons joins Marion Cotillard as a newcomer to The Morning Show’s cast for season four. The coming season will jump ahead two years from the season three finale cliffhanger that saw Alex’s fellow TV anchor Bradley (Reese Witherspoon) taken into FBI custody.

National Portrait Gallery Buys Dolley Madison Photo for $456,000
The portrait of the first lady, which was likely taken in 1846, will be part of an exhibition for the nation’s semiquincentennial.
The National Portrait Gallery bought the earliest known photograph of an American first lady for more than six times the estimated auction price, adding the recently surfaced daguerreotype of Dolley Madison to the Smithsonian’s permanent collection.
Sotheby’s had estimated that the daguerreotype, which was taken circa 1846 when Madison was in her 70s, would sell for between $50,000 and $70,000 on Friday. The National Portrait Gallery paid $456,000.

The Oscar nominee, set to play patriarch Joe Jackson in the film, said Michael will “tell the story of a very complicated person” when asked about the criticisms of bringing the contentious King of Pop story to screen.
“Michael Jackson is undeniably one of the most prolific artists that has ever been on this planet,” Domingo told Entertainment Tonight on the BET Awards red carpet over the weekend. “He’s a complicated human being and I think what the film will do is tell the story of a very complicated person.”
