We would like to take this moment to express how refreshing it is to have two stars promoting a film without cosplay or putting on a pretend romance for the public. Sometimes, you just want pretty and famous people to put on nice expensive outfits and pose in front of a movie logo without making a fuss about it, y’know? The pretty people in question, Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt, are happily not dressed like their characters for the Paris premiere of The Fall Guy, nor are they wearing anything that could even present a hint of “calling back” (a term we’ve come to loathe) to the film.

It seems we shamed him into ditching his beloved piping, but now he’s in his monochromatic era. It can get a little dull wearing a suit and shirt in one shade, but at least this shade looks great on him.

The pants are a little too clowny for our tastes, but we do like how fun this feels. There’s a goofiness to it that works well for her while still allowing her to look pretty great. We just wish the top weren’t so shiny.
