Michael Kors Spring 2015 Collection
The thing about Michael Kors is, Michael Kors is always going to do the very best version of Michael Kors. It’s why he’s the force of nature he is; because of a laser-like focus on what the core brand aesthetic is, no matter what directions it may go from season to season. Michael Kors is always going to offer up a perfectly clean and impeccable collection of American sportswear, filtered through whatever lens of inspiration struck him in recent months. This collection has a chic and lyrical sort of romanticism to it (inspired by Agnes de Mille’s choreography and “the casual elegance of Louise Dahl-Wolfe’s photographs”), even as every other outfit looks tennis- or yacht-ready. It’s hard not to love a Michael Kors collection just because it’s always so consistent, impeccable and classic. It’s no surprise that we loved this collection, with it’s bright, sunny, summery vibe…the floral prints, the full skirts with the defined waist, the flower appliqués, cropped jeans, the poplin shirts paired with skirts, and of course, the gorgeous coats and accessories. American chic.
