Nope. Not working for us, dear.

Can’t stand racer fronts. It always makes the wearer look like she’s rolling her shoulders forward in embarrassment. Actually, now that we look closer, she is rolling her shoulders forward. Maybe the shape of the top is forcing her into that posture but she always was kind posey on the RC. The rest of the top looks great, but we can’t stand to see it paired with those hologram boxer shorts. And since we’re being cranky bitches, we might as well take it all the way and say that none of the silvers match, down to the sandals, making for a very haphazard look.

Harrumph. We’re not grumpy, we swear. This just isn’t working for us in any way. Necklines are dealbreakers for us. If it’s not working, then the outfit’ll never come together.

It’s amazing what you can do with a pot scrubber and some duct tape.

      • decormaven

        Danny Duzit to the rescue!

    • nannypoo

I hate the neckline and I hate her hair, but otherwise I think this is a cute little outfit.

      • FuhUgh

She has a short neck, and always seems to emphasize it with her choices.

    • kimmeister

      1. Girl is giving me Laura San Giacomo’s face in the first pic.
      2. She needs to stop wearing high necklines with her hair down.
      3. Those shoes look like truss bridges. They’re the best part of the look.

    • MilaXX

Either she or her stylist are not looking at her body shape. She has a short neck so these tricky necklines do not work on her. I don’t dislike racer fronts, but they work better on those with long necks. I also don’t like the silver matchy shoe. You could have literally paired any color sandal with this. Even this summer’s color of the moment yellow. GTNYD pack it up and send it to Zoe Saldana. She can use it since her poledance is just getting ready to start.

      • Thomas

Her makeup looks really bad too. It shouldn’t look like she has tons of lines/bags under her eyes at her age.

        • lovelyivy

Agreed. It looks like she has smile wrinkles, which she absolutely doesn’t.

      • Hetha Innis

I was trying to figure out who would look good in that top and you nailed it with Z.S.

      • http://armchairauthor.wordpress.com/ LesYeuxHiboux

Exactly my thoughts, re: she or her stylist not paying attention to/being aware of her shape. Volume on the bottom and a defined waist with those strong shoulders, or a simple A-line/trapeze shape with an open neck. Racer fronts always look awkward to me, regardless of the wearer’s shape.

    • Alison

Real talk, though: I covet those shoes.

    • Thomas

Her style has really gone downhill.

    • demidaemon

Let’s just be honest: Girl needs a fashion intervention.

This is full stop bad, except maybe her hair. Maybe.

      • @Biting Panda

Nope. And the hair is too brassy.

        • Sarah

          (And fuzzy)

          • MilaXX

yep. She needs a dab of hair serum

            • Sarah

I feel guilty, because thunderstorms today = I’m fuzzy as heck, but I’m not at an Event. Takes one to know one, as it were.

        • demidaemon

Thank you for correcting me. I was trying to find something nice to say for her, for some reason.

          • @Biting Panda

            I do what I can.

            • decormaven

Because you’re a giver! Gracious BK.

        • Linzenberg

I almost wonder if she shouldn’t go with a pixie cut or something to prove that she has a neck.

    • Aidan B

Go home and try again, dear. You look like you need a nap; or is that just your eye makeup?

    • marlie

I’m not a fan of the outfit – which is a shame, because it has a little bit of potential – but I feel like her makeup is making her look 15 years older than she is.

    • http://www.ellenciompi.com/ NurseEllen

This is just the dictionary definition of BLAH, which is hard to do with silver sparkles.

    • http://www.robertjamesfischer.tumblr.com Theda

The eye make-up is unfortunate, but the shoes are cute.

    • Sarah

She’s like a bedazzled oven mitt. That said, I luurve her shoes. I am now having Ginger Rogers fantasies.

    • Janet B

Chloe, go ahead and take that nap. Armani really isn’t right for you.

    • Shelby

I’m not a big fan of the brassy blond either … Also, for those detail-oriented kittens out there, is the hem falling out of the boxer-shorts? Check the next to last pic?

      • marlie

I think what you’re seeing is the outer… flap?… of the shorts. Which indicates, if the shorts were altered to fit her, the hem job wasn’t done well.

        • Shelby

Gah. Good eye. I think when you’re down to discussing short flaps, it might be a good idea to just say no to Armani, Chloe.

    • Dagney

Really? gosh I like this. could do with less tire track gray eyeshadow though…

    • http://phantomminuet.blogspot.com/ MinAgain

      Bathmat chic.

    • FibonacciSequins

Agree on the racer front dislike. It’s giving Chloe weirdly big shoulders, which she doesn’t really have. The top and shorts just don’t go together. She should give those back and keep the shoes.

    • http://www.dogsdotcom.blogspot.com/ Plink

Such a cute girl….too bad about her choices lately.

    • Imasewsure

Hate everything as intelligently stated by our decidedly non-grumpy uncles… that hair makes me grumpy though.

    • Yoshio

She should never wear anything that circles her neck – it’s just not flattering for her. Open necklines, girl!

      • Laura Abrahamsen

Good observation. I had to go back and look, and you’re right. I actually like the top, with almost any other bottom and on someone else. GTNYT.

    • http://www.jaimieteekell.com/ Jaimie

What? Child! Why does your makeup make you look so old? No! Sweetie… (She replied to me once on Twitter so I pretend that she can hear me all the time.)

    • teensmom99

Does it help to say that this is the best racer front I’ve seen and if anyone is going to wear one, then she should be a teen. But maybe not if it costs
      thousands of dollars . . .

    • quiltrx

She does ALWAYS hold her shoulders like that, it seems….I don’t get it. Chin up and tits out, young lady.
I will never like a racer front either…AND they will always make me think of that unicorn boy on PR.
It’s a shame, I like both the fabrics (though you’re right, they don’t match, but if it were just the 2 silvers I could take it).

    • Gatto Nero

I’ve seen cutaway shoulders but didn’t know that “racer fronts” were a thing. That circular cut is a ridiculous design idea. Honestly, who could wear it?
If this were a straightforward sleeveless dress (or top over pants), without that unflattering armhole, it would be fine — even pretty.

    • frannyprof

      Burn those shorts.

    • http://www.bertkeeter.com Bert Keeter

Looks like a ST John top with some weird short thing. The crotch on models photo is startling bad!

    • Tee

The stain on the concrete in her 4th shot goes with her coloring better than this outfit. And those shorts should be confiscated by the authorities. A fake version of a real pair of shorts.

    • Feral Fremen

Second picture from the bottom… is she standing next to a splash of barf?!

      • http://howtofaint.tumblr.com/ How to Faint

I think a Sim peed itself behind her.

    • smh4748

I like the top, but boy do those shorts just torpedo this. I’d also add that that is not her color of silver.

    • StrandedFashionista

I loved this when I thought it was a shift… top and shorts, not so much.

    • Mothra

Agree on neckline. If she would also just stand up straight it might not look so schlumpy.

    • KES4K

Can’t get over how much she looks like a baby Kim Cattrall. Also, whoever caked on her makeup so thick that it’s giving her the crows’ feet/under-eye circles and smile lines of someone actually Kim Cattrall’s age should be fired.

    • Tami from Seattle

For some reason I notice a lot of girl and lady stars rolling their shoulders forward. So much bad posture in Hollywood. I’m thinking its a combination of Calcium deficiency and Tom Cruise-sized leading men.

    • ModernDowager

      Madonna biopic? Just a thought.

      • Lisalady161

        Exactly!

    • Shug

Those shorts could be adorbz with the right blouse, tho

    • conniemd

The model is older and super fierce looking. I think this a GTINYD. She’s far too young and perky looking to wear this outfit.

    • Joanna

I don’t mind the outfit (in part because Chloe always appears to me to be hunching her shoulders forward anyway.) The real crime is the eye makeup here. It makes her look cross-eyed.

    • KT

Love the color on her, enjoying the bedazzled elements, and that’s about it.

    • http://asskickingadviser.com/ Ass Kicking Adviser

Please use the bio hazard container and don’t look back. Who even thought that might look good? So many things wrong.

    • Danielle

      Shorts?!

    • lilazander

She looks thirty in those pics. The make-up and hair… I just don’t like.

    • Nancy Arseneault-Heald

The shorts would have worked in a different color if the top was a simple tank of some kind. I am digging the shoes though.
