The Walking Dead, Season Two

Posted on June 08, 2011

It’s been fashionfashionfashion all the time around here lately and we’re just dying for some juicy television to talk about since The Killing just ain’t what we thought it was gonna be. And since you could get pregnant today and be toilet-training the little darling by the time Mad Men makes its way back to our screens, getting a reminder that The Walking Dead was on the horizon just made our day. AMC released a teaser image of the coming second season:

Poo. None of the main cast to be found anywhere. That’s a tease of a tease.

The show’s currently in production in the greater Atlanta area:

“Executive Producer/Writer/Director Frank Darabont says, “At this moment, I’m standing on a stretch of post-apocalypse interstate in Georgia, littered with abandoned cars and blessing my good luck to be reunited with our amazing cast, and our fantastic directors and crew. Across the board, there are none better. It’s great to be shooting again. I think we’ve embarked on a great season.”

And it’s coming back in the fall. Here’s hoping they don’t make us wait until Halloween for the premiere (like they did last year) because we are dying for this show to get underway. Last season was only six episodes long and really felt like more of a prelude, especially after we read most of the comic series to date. There’s a ton of horrifying stuff we can’t wait for them to get to and they’ve got 13 episodes this time around to cover a lot of ground. We want our zombie apocalypse back ASAP, AMC, OK?
