We know it’s technically correct to call Michael B. Jordan’s Actor Award win for Leading Male Actor in a Drama an “upset,” since so many people assumed it was going to Prince Timmee of House Chalamet, but “upset” is the very opposite of how we’re feeling about it. It’s been a while since an award win prompted us to yelp out loud in surprise (and yes, in unison), but it simply can’t be argued that it wasn’t deserved. To mark the occasion, he did exactly what he always does for any occasion: showed up looking damn near flawless.

We’re afraid we have to say “damn near” because those pants need several inches removed from the bottom, which is kind of a shame because the rest of it looks so good. We have to say, we’re getting the sense that ’80s Business Chic (or the Patrick Bateman look, if you want to be negative about it) is trending back and we think we’re going to love to see the return of contrasting collars and tie pins again. He looks fantastic. He looks like he smells amazing. He looks like success.
