Jessica Chastain came to Mexico City to premiere her new film Dreams and we just want to ask her what’s going on with her, which is a thing we tend to want to do when someone shows up in a goofy outfit.
Seriously, Jessica, what’s going on with you? Because this is one goofy-af look. We don’t think she’s pregnant. Not that she looks it, but most of the time, when a ladystar steps out in a frock that gets all weirdly elaborate right around her belly, we presume she’s about to make an announcement of some sort. But no, this would appear to simply be an odd little design that sits too low on her bust and adds a bunch of volume right where most wearers don’t tend to want it. We don’t think we could have been convinced to love the dress, but it would have benefitted from some styling that helped elevate it without fighting it. A couple of colorful statement jewelry pieces might have done the trick, or even a pair of shoes that complement the look. This pair? Absolutely fighting it. These shoes are essentially screaming at the dress. They’re way too aggressive a style for such a goofy little frock. They’re gorgeous in their own way, but they look wrong as hell here. Your eye goes straight down and it’s hard to notice anything else.
