We wouldn’t normally credit Lupita Nyong’o as the type who’d do theme-dressing, but she’s starring in Twelfth Night at Shakespeare in the Park and for the opening night, she wore a look with some serious Elizabethan undertones to it.
If Queen Elizabeth had worn mini-skirts, that is. She wore a similar Chanel look on The Tonight Show last month, so we feel safe in saying she’s following a theme. It’s cute. Normally, we’d find a tweed romper to be a bit of a hard sell, but with the ruffled collar and bishop’s sleeves, it all has a sense of fun formality to it. She looks really cute and we love the hair, makeup and jewelry choices. Even the shoes are well-chosen, and that’s an area she’s had some trouble with.
