One thing about Zendaya and her go-to stylist Law Roach, they really know the difference between an event that requires aspirational fashion and one that begs for fantasy fashion. In other words, they’re a team who knows the difference between serving a look and serving a Moment. This is, of course, the latter. Not that this isn’t aspirational in its own way, but it’s not a particularly practical dress – you wouldn’t want to get a drop of water anywhere near it and you sure wouldn’t want to be so human as to perspire in it, for instance. And we’re not feeling the styling in some respects. The necklace doesn’t work with that fussy strap situation and her wigs have been not-great all week. Even so, it’s one hell of a head-turning look, which is the entire point of it. Make them remember you were there.
