People think we sometimes get too hung up on seasonal appropriateness in fashion, which is something we’ll cop to, but only when talking about celebrities in promotional situations, we swear. Our thinking is that whatever product you’re selling at the moment, you want to look of the moment. That’s why Christmas rom coms call for a specific sort of promotional style, as do late fall horror movies or high summer blockbusters. Having said that, she’s at GMA to promote her children’s book, so bright, naive, friendly styles are certainly not a bad idea. It’s a cute dress and it looks fine on camera, but it looks like such a May or June sort of dress to us – especially with the pastel accessories. Had she gone for some bold green or yellow in the shoes and bag, this might work better for nitpicky bitches such as we.
